GIVE MOM A FRIENDLY REMINDER THIS MOTHER'S DAY
The Alisa Unger Designs "Me and My Two Friends" Collection Reminds Women to Take Care of Themselves
Mother's Day has been celebrated throughout history as a day to show our mothers how important they are in our lives. Since jewelry is always a popular gift choice, on Mother's Day, here is a chance to give mom something to really show her how much you care. The "Me and My Two Friends" collection from Alisa Unger Designs is made up of nine pieces of jewelry, including two broaches, two rings, a pair of earrings, three pendants, and a charm and was created to encourage women to take care of themselves and each other. Each piece is 14K pink gold and accented with diamonds and 14K pink gold ribbons, ranging in price from $418.00 to $1,955.00.
"By 2006, it is estimated that more than 200,000 mothers, daughters, sisters and their female friends in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer. I designed the "Me and My Two Friends" collection to remind women to fight the disease and to take charge of their health," says Alisa Unger, CEO of Alisa Unger Designs.
Alisa has been personally touched by effects of cancer, having a mother who is a breast cancer survivor and also having recently lost her sister-in-law to the disease. To help in the fight, Alisa Unger and Alisa Unger Designs have created the Me and My Two Friends Foundation to help women win this battle against the illness. To order the jewelry and/or for more information about the Foundation, please visit the website, www.meandmytwofriends.org.
Master IJO Designer Alisa Unger is a renowned jewelry designer and CEO of Alisa Unger Designs/B&N Jewelry. Her industry involvement dates back to her childhood when her parents owned and operated Gem Jewelers in her hometown of Lakeland, Florida, where she spent her youth behind the counter, drawing jewelry designs on napkins. Later, as a birthday present from her husband Jeff Unger, several of Alisa's napkin-designed pieces were made into models, cast, and set with diamonds. Since that time, Unger has designed more than 200 pieces, several of which have been showcased in the Independent Jewelers Organization Exclusive Collection.
